Finished with our Gen1 triple-stepped 2-1 exhaust, this beast puts down 184hp / 185 ft-lb — a 35% gain over the last setup and double stock power.
There’s nothing quite like hand-over day, especially when it’s a machine as stunning as Kurt’s FXDR. From the beginning, the goal was clear: build something that not only turned heads but also delivered serious performance on the dyno.

For this 2022 Apex Road Glide, we wanted a balance of reliable power and smooth rideability - and the end result delivers exactly that. Built with a solid foundation and carefully chosen upgrades, this bike puts down 140hp and 150 ft-lb of torque, making it as enjoyable to ride as it is powerful.

Built for reliable power and smooth rideability, this 2022 Apex Road Glide delivers 140 hp / 150 ft-lb torque.
132 ci S&S Kit, CR485 cam, Fuelling lifters, 64 mm throttle body, and our SPB Fab 2-1 exhaust combine for a responsive, effortless ride.
This build originally ran a 132ci S&S Cube Kit with a CR515 camshaft and a Freedom 2-1. The customer wanted more, so we upgraded to a 143ci APE Kit with the following extras:
CR550 camshaft
10.2 GPS fuel injectors
64mm CNC-ported manifold & throttle body
SE billet cam plate & oil pump
Fueling lifters
S&S Quickee pushrods
CNC-ported heads with +2mm valve set
APE 143ci barrel & piston set
S&S 4.5" crankshaft
We also fabricated one of our Gen1 in-house triple-stepped header big-inch 2-1 exhaust systems, producing an impressive 184hp and 185 ft-lb torque at the wheel.
That’s a 35% gain over the previous setup and a 100% increase from stock.
